Connect eToro (API Key + User Key)

eToro lets Fastbot read your US stock and ETF portfolio and place your orders. Your positions stay in your eToro account.

Get your keys from eToro

1. Sign in to eToro and go to etoro.com/settings/trade → API Key Management.
2. Create a new key with Real + Read + Write permissions.
   • Real — your real-money account, not the demo one.
   • Read — so Fastbot can see your portfolio.
   • Write — so Fastbot can place orders.
3. eToro gives you two values and you need both:
   • API Key (the public one)
   • User Key (the private one — treat it like a password)

Enter them into Fastbot

⚙️ Settings → ⚙️ Edit .env, then enter three values:

These three are usually not in the list yet, so tap ➕ Add variable and send each as ETORO_ENABLED=true.

This screen always shows the US session and the New York clock, so you never have to convert time zones.

Things to know

eToro uses internal numeric IDs. Every stock has a numeric instrumentID rather than a ticker string. Fastbot looks it up and remembers it; you just type AAPL or SPY as usual.

There is a rate limit. eToro allows at most 20 write operations per minute. When closing several positions at once, Fastbot paces itself so the exchange does not block it.

No leverage on ordinary stocks. Fastbot places stock and ETF orders at leverage 1.
